This is one single exposure of 30 seconds taken from several hundred from a time lapse clip. The two arches of the Ribblehead Viaduct perfectly frame the constellation Orion (left arch) and the Pleiades star cluster (right arch). In the foreground is a commemorative monument about the viaduct and its construction

While shooting a time lapse sequence of the winter milky way with reflections in the foreground puddles I stood in the frame with my headtorch on and looking up to the sky while a 30 second exposure was made, for this type of shot a wireless shutter release is essential as well as the ability to stand absolutely still for 30 seconds
